Tyler Pribbeno hired as Imperial Community Development Director

Tyler Pribbeno started his dream job this week.
The 2003 Chase County graduate, who will continue doing on-the-side work as a lawyer, was recently hired as the Imperial Community Development Director.
The position became available after Jason Tuller resigned last month.
“I was surprised when he called and asked for information (about the job),” said City Clerk/Administrator Jo Leyland. “But I thought, ‘What a perfect job for Tyler.’”
Leyland and all the staff at the city offices are excited to have Pribbeno on board.
“In all honesty, you should follow your heart, and that’s where his heart is,” Leyland said. “I am just tickled pink to have him.”
Pribbeno was just as shocked to see the job become available.
“I was surprised to see (Tuller’s resignation) in the newspaper,” Pribbeno said. “I thought, ‘That’s kind of where my heart’s at.’”
Pribbeno, the son of Mike and Jana Pribbeno of Imperial, received his undergraduate degree in legal studies at Chadron State College. He then went on to the University of Nebraska College of Law in Lincoln for his law degree.
After graduating, he joined Joel Burke at Burke Law Office in Imperial in 2010 as an associate and became a partner not long after.
“I’m going to do as much as I can on the side still ,” Pribbeno said. “Estate planning, probates, guardianships, things like that I’m going to still try and do on the weekends.”
Since coming back home, Pribbeno has been involved in the Imperial Community Foundation Fund (ICFF) and numerous volunteering opportunities, including helping start the Chamber’s Smokin’ on Broadway event.
In 2018, Pribbeno was featured in the Omaha World Herald about his love for Imperial.
That love has only grown.
“Imperial‘s such a vibrant place to live now,” Pribbeno said. “And I think everyone who’s back now is really enjoying it.”
While Pribbeno was involved with the ICFF before,“It’s my actual life now,” he said.
