Tuesday, June 24, Imperial got saturated with rain that fell all evening and most of the night. In town gauges ranged from 4 to over 5 inches of rain by Wednesday morning. After a small break in the rain, it started falling again Wednesday morning, dropping close to half an inch more. Above is the field just south of Helena, leaving town to the north. Below is the highway leaving Imperial to the east, going past the potato shed. Both ponds were getting a little to close to the highway for comfort. Many of the dirt roads around the county were closed due to flooding.
