Time to sign up for Chase County Fair’s talent show

Once again the Chase County Fair Board and KADL Radio will be sponsoring the High Plains Talent Search at the Chase County Fair.
All manner of talents are welcome to compete. The sponsors are encouraging vocalists, actors, jugglers, instrumentalists, comedians, gymnastics and any other talented individuals to sign up for the show.
The top three acts will split $500 in prize money with the top act qualifying for a chance to compete in the Galaxy of Stars Talent Search at the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island. The winner there will receive cash prizes and an opportunity for a record deal or other similar opportunity.
The talent show is set for Thursday, Aug. 17, at 1 p.m. in the Open Air Pavilion on the fairgrounds. Anyone interested in signing up is urged to contact Sue Moore at the KADL radio station located at 824 Douglas St. in Imperial or call the station at 308-882-4209.
It is expected to be a great show, Moore said, and the event will include a performance by the 9th Street Singers from Chase County Schools.
