Tiffany Reeves appointed to hospital board

Tiffany Reeves was tapped to replace Eddie Nichols on the Chase County Community Hospital board by the Chase County Commission during its July 23 meeting.
The commissioners had hoped to find someone from Wauneta to take the position, but after a month of looking decided it was better to fill the CCCH board now rather than later.
The county board also interviewed Angie Paisley.
Being equally impressed after visiting with Reeves and Paisley and their experiences in the medical field, commissioner Jacci Brown felt the appointment should go to the person who expressed interest first.
When commissioner Dennis Kunnemann suggested waiting and interviewing more people, Brown said the spot had been open long enough.
“It’s been long enough since we knew Eddie was quitting that we’re not doing our job,” Brown said. “I think the board will have more confidence knowing it’s a full board.”
The commissioners expect another opening to come up on the hospital board and were excited about the possibility of adding Paisley, but still also hope to find a Wauneta representative.
