Talbott Brothers new album drops, single receives Billboard recognition

Fresh off the heels of their recognition by Rolling Stone, Imperial natives The Talbott Brothers have been mentioned by another national publication.
Billboard—known for its music charts, including the Hot 100 and Billboard 200—posted an article on their website last week praising the local brothers on their new music video for their song “Without a Doubt.”
The Billboard post says the song “paints the picture of the push and pull of a relationship.”
They also call out the Talbott Brothers “haunting brotherly harmonies,” saying, “the stripped down track details a man telling a woman that he wants her to love me without a doubt.”
“Normally when we do a music video we’d like to be there,” Nick said.
Nick said it was difficult for this one since they were on the road.
“So we put together a story board and then sent it to our people back in Oregon,” he added.
“It was fun for us to basically write a script,” Nick said. “Then they took it and multiplied it by 100.”
“Without a Doubt” was the brothers’ first music video where viewers are told a story by more than just the music.
Nick said the actors in the video aren’t just random actors hired by their producer.
“(They’re) friends of ours from Oregon,” he said. “We’d actually met them a couple of times.
“So we messaged them and said, ‘Hey, this sounds crazy,’ but they’re good-looking people and had done similar work.”
The music video can be found on their Facebook page, www.facebook.com/talbottbrothers/.
New album
The Talbott Brothers’ new album “Ghost Talker” releases Friday.
The album was produced by Justin Abel and recorded in Portland, Oregon.
“Everyone has ghosts, whether they talk about them or not. We wanted to take off the mask and be honest with this record, hoping that what we needed to say is what people needed to hear,” the album message states.
“After our last album was released, and playing more than 200 shows in the U.S. and Canada, we were constantly going from one thing to the next without taking much time to slow down and enjoy each moment to the fullest,” it continued.
