Status hearings set in Swanson murder

    Hearings have been set in April for the two people charged in the murder of Annika Swanson.
    A status hearing for Keonna Carter, 22, of Utah will be at 9:30 a.m. April 16 in Chase County District Court in Imperial.
    A status hearing for Kevin German, 24, of Colorado Springs, Colorado will be at 9:15 a.m. April 28, also in District Court in Imperial.
    A status hearing is aimed at keeping attorneys from both sides and court officials updated on how the case is proceeding.
    Carter is charged with first degree murder and one count of kidnapping. German is charged with first degree murder and two counts of kidnapping.
    They are charged in connection with the November disappearance and death of, Swanson, 22, who was reported missing by her father three days before her body was found about five miles south of Imperial. German also is charged with kidnapping Eve Ambrosek of Imperial.
