Twenty-five pieces of some of the best art in the state of Nebraska are shown in the Association of Nebraska Art Clubs’ (ANAC) Travel Show, which is at the Petrified Wood Gallery in Ogallala now until Nov. 23.
Marcia Bauerle of Imperial and Karla Johnson of Big Springs have paintings in this year’s show.
The show will also be at the Prairie Art Center in North Platte Nov. 25 to Dec. 17 and at the McCook Art Guild Gallery Dec. 18 to Jan. 12.
ANAC is the only known club in the United States that supports all art clubs in the state.
They host a conference every June where each of the 39 clubs bring its best new artwork to be judged by a nationally known artist.
Twenty-five pieces are chosen out of more than 300 works from all over Nebraska.
The traveling show makes its way to 14 different locations during the year, ending at the next conference.
The 2019 conference was in Albion and the 2020 site is Fremont.
