Spooky times in Imperial as Halloween arrives

Imperial was more than ready for Wednesday’s Halloween with many local homes and businesses welcoming visitors especially trick-or-treaters. Above, at the Troy and Mercedes Hauxwell home at 12th and Grant Streets, from left, Haven, Faith and Addi Hauxwell enjoy their yard decorations including this large, leaf-filled spider which highlights several other items throughout their front yard. Down the street, this display at the Jim and Idonna Elder home, below, provides a spooky welcome along with some stacked, inflatable pumpkins on the other side of the porch. Several special events were available for a safe Halloween including indoor trick-or-treating at the Imperial Manor/Parkview Heights and downtown businesses also provided treats after school. A Sage Addition Boo-Bash was also in the works. (Johnson Publications photos)
