The 2018 Chase County Fair added a new event, the Heartland Puller Series Tractor Pull, which proved to be a popular addition. It’s returning this year, but will be in the Thursday, Aug. 15, 6 p.m. time slot. The demolition derby will be held Sunday afternoon this year. Demo derby, Heartland Tractor Pull trading days; Christian show moved to pavilion area

Some changes are on the 2019 schedule for the Chase County Fair, which will be in full mode in three weeks.
Some of the fair’s big events, including the demo derby, the Heartland Puller Series Tractor Pull and Christian show are all returning, but on different days or different places next month.
Fair board member Jakob Burke is managing the schedule for the Aug. 11-18 events and said they are changing some things up this year.
The biggest change is switching the times for the demolition derby and the Heartland Puller Series Tractor Pull.
The demo derby has been held as a Thursday night staple for more than 30 years, Burke noted, but the number of cars and crowd have dwindled in recent derbies.
A new event last year added Sunday afternoon, the Heartland Puller Series Tractor Pull, had a huge response.
Fair board members decided to switch those two events—the demo derby will be on Sunday, Aug. 18, this year, with a 2 p.m. start as the  tractor pull moves to Thursday night, Aug. 15, at 6 p.m.
Organizers of the antique tractor pull held for years the last day of the fair weren’t going to organize it again, so Burke said they were able to get the Heartland Series pull scheduled last year.
“It went really well, better than expected,” he said.
