Search is on for Christmas Day dinner chairman
For 11 years, the local Ministerial Association has coordinated a Christmas Day dinner in Imperial at the Eagles Club.
But, unless a chairman for the event steps forward, there likely won’t be a 12th one in a few weeks.
After several chairmen coordinated the food donations, workers and other details the past 11 years, the position is vacant this year, said Melody Newman, who chairs the Ministerial Association group of six local pastors.
“This year, we were unable to find someone to chair and organize it,” she said.
And if they don’t find someone, “I hate to say it but there won’t be a Christmas dinner this year,” she said.
