Scratch-off tickets returning as part of Chamber’s Christmas events

Soup and pie supper, Christmas parade planned for Dec. 5

Imperial’s Chamber of Commerce is bringing back a popular holiday promotion as it prepares for the upcoming Christmas shopping season.
Back by popular demand, this year’s Christmas events will include scratch-off tickets awarded to shoppers who make purchases in a participating Chamber-member store or business.
A total of $3,000 in chamber bucks will be awarded in the scratch-off ticket promotion, Chamber President Jana Pribbeno said. Lucky shoppers have the chance to win $40, $20, $10 or $5 if they receive one of the lucky tickets.
And, they’ll be able to collect the chamber bucks right away in that business, she noted.
Shoppers will have a better than one-in-four chance to win chamber bucks when receiving a ticket.
Businesses will begin distributing the scratch-off tickets on Black Friday, Nov. 29.
In addition to the scratch-off tickets from the Chamber, some individual businesses will be offering their own “in-house” scratch-off tickets to increase shoppers’ chances of winning, she said.
The chamber is also planning a soup and pie supper for their Christmas Festival event on Thursday, Dec. 5, and a number of new activities are being added that day.
A night time lighted Christmas parade and a Christmas table decorating contest are just two new events being planned for Dec. 5.
