Scratch off tickets back for Chamber’s Shop Imperial holiday promo
The holiday shopping season isn’t far off, and the Chamber of Commerce’s Shop Imperial Committee has been at work getting ready for it.
Back by popular demand, shoppers in Imperial will again have the chance to win Chamber Bucks and additional prizes in the scratch off ticket promotion introduced last holiday season.
Business owners are now being lined up who will be promoting the scratch off ticket promotion in their stores and offices this holiday season.
Each business participating will be given an amount of scratch off cards with Chamber Bucks as the prizes.
On top of that, businesses can also include their own in-house specials, such as 20 percent off an item, a free gift/grab bag or whatever they choose, said Jana Pribbeno, Shop Imperial Committee member.
The campaign will kick off Black Friday, Nov. 24, and continue through December if the business desires. Scratch tickets will only run through Dec. 31.
Pribbeno said the goal of the program is for the community to shop local and keep Imperial businesses and the community thriving.
The theme again is, “Buy, Eat, Live, Love, Local.”
Businesses that wish to participate are asked to contact Pribbeno no later than Nov. 3 with their in-house special scratch ticket information so printing can be done and tickets distributed by Black Friday.
All of the participating businesses will be listed in this newspaper prior to start of the promotion.
The Chamber’s efforts received a boost from the city of Imperial Monday night when city council members voted unanimously to again provide $1,500 for Shop Imperial advertising.
The city funds will come out of the LB 840 economic development sales tax fund.
Pribbeno noted the committee may also add some additional promotions for the holiday season.
