SCORE camp to feature Nebraska-born astronaut Clay Anderson

SCORE Camp 2019 is in full planning mode, securing presenters for the week of science June 10-14.
This year’s theme is “Star Spangled Science,” according to co-director Charlesa Kline.
On Wednesday, June 12, retired Nebraska Astronaut Clay Anderson will give two presentations, one to the campers during the day and another for the public in the evening.
The public is welcome to Anderson’s presentation at either time, according to organizers.
Ahead of Anderson’s 7 p.m. evening presentation June 12, a community hot dog feed, followed by a book signing with Anderson is set for 6 p.m. He’ll also hold a book signing earlier in the day at 3 p.m.
“Wednesday night is all about the community,” Kline said.
Also that Wednesday night, personnel with the Edgerton Explorit Center from Aurora will speak about the science of fireworks and at 9 p.m. there will be a fireworks show at the school.
