Sample ballots for May 15 primary running this week

Samples of the ballots voters will see in the Tuesday, May 15 Primary Election appear in this week’s Imperial Republican.
State election law requires County Clerk and Election Commissioner Debbie Clark to publish the ballots in the legal newspapers for Chase County prior to the election. These papers include the Republican and The Wauneta Breeze.
Sample ballots include a Republican Party ballot, Democratic Party ballot, Libertarian Party ballot and nonpartisan ballots.
The party ballots will include federal, state and county partisan races and nonpartisan local and Unicameral races.
Registered voters who are not affiliated with a political party (nonpartisan) can still vote for U.S. Senate and Congressional candidates by requesting a nonpartisan ballot.
The nonpartisan Republican and Libertarian ballots only include these two races.
The Democratic Party opened their  Primary Election to nonpartisans so that ballot will include all federal, state and local races.
Still time to register
