Pool well-used amid short season
One outlet for summer fun amid COVID-19 has been the Imperial pool. It opened about three weeks later than normal, but provided more than 35 days of swimming after opening June 16. This Friday marks the last day for 2020. Pool Manager Brooklyn Christensen said use has been good with close to the maximum of 33 swimmers most days they were open. When that was increased to 60 a couple weeks ago, no one had to be turned away, she said. It was challenging at times, she added, with required temperature checks and waivers.
