With no new reports, drone probe dormant

It’s been a while since mysterious drones have been spotted above Nebraska and Colorado, and unless they resume flying, it appears the mystery will remain unsolved.
“I think ‘dormant’ is a good way to put it,” said Ian Gregor, communications manager for the Federal Aviation Administration’s Pacific Division, which led the investigation.
“We weren’t able to get any information that enabled us to conclusively determine what it was that people reported seeing.”
Gregor said he has seen no new reports of drones for at least a month and a half and “there’s nothing new to look at.”
The flights, which began in late December, were under investigation by the FAA, FBI and Department of Homeland Security, with local law enforcement agencies acting as the eyes and ears of those entities.
Gregor said that if local law enforcement gets any reports and forwards them to federal law enforcement, they will investigate.
