No injuries result from semi, pickup accident

Emergency personnel responded to a semi/pickup accident Wednesday morning that could have been much more serious than it was.
Sheriff Kevin Mueller said no injuries resulted after a semi truck hit the front end of a pickup, just a mile east of Imperial on Highway 6 at the 334 Avenue intersection.
The Chase County Sheriff’s Office was called at 7:27 a.m.
John Fries, 59, of Benkelman was eastbound on the highway in a 2013 Kenworth semi, which collided with a 1999 GMC pickup driven by 18-year-old Joel DaMoude of Imperial, also traveling east.
