New business provides creative services to Chase County area

Ryan Baker, broadcasting operations manager for the local KADL radio station, is probably best known for his voice heard over the airwaves  during the local sports broadcasts and the morning “KADL Call” program. But Baker is a multifaceted individual.
Baker and his wife, Angie, are the owners of BAAM Multimedia LLC in Imperial. BAAM offers secure and user friendly website development,   IT services for businesses and setting up business class email accounts.
He has been particularly busy with the photography side of his business. Baker’s BAAM website, www.baam multimedia.com, promotes professional quality photos for weddings, engagements, family pictures, senior school photos, businesses and other events
Along with the other services BAAM offers, Baker also provides a DJ service for any event. He said that he often will do the photography for a wedding, and then DJ the wedding dance, as well.
Baker is originally from Ogallala. While in high school, his friends often told him he had a great voice for radio, he said. He got his chance to use his voice as a DJ for weddings at which his parents provided the catering. He said that is how it all started for him in 1997.
At age 16, Baker started seeking out knowledge and opportunities in areas of multimedia work to perfect his abilities to the level they are today. He has lived and worked in several larger cities in Nebraska and Colorado, learning his trade and fine-tuning his skill set, which culminated into BAAM multimedia LLC.
Baker met and married his wife Angie, who is a native of Imperial. Along with their two dogs, Buster and Molly, they have made their home here for the last two and a half years. He said that even though bigger cities have much to offer, they like living in a small community like Imperial. They are close to family, and they can still travel to any place they need to be for their business with little effort.
Baker said that his wife does photo editing, website maintenance and posting and keeps the bookkeeping on track.
“She’s the true boss of the company,” he said with a smile. He added that she understands the importance of how everything fits together.
As co-owners in BAAM, their goal is to work together as a team to provide the community with a full multimedia experience.
