Murals on 12th Street nearing completion

This is the second year local artists get the chance to publicly show off their talent.
The 12th Street Fence Project has seven sections spoken for where participants chose their own themes to create a mural.
The paint is provided free.
Deadline for all murals to be completed will be the end of next week, said Barb Prottsman, property co-owner.
One of the murals being created is by Chase County Schools graduates Carissa Hill and Gabbi Krutsinger.
Hill will be headed to Chadron State College this fall to major in art education, she said.
Krutsinger will be attending Concordia University in Seward in the fall to major in music therapy with a minor in art.
Once the murals are completed, people can donate to their favorite mural either on site or at the Imperial Credit Union, Prottsman said.
All cash donations will go to the artist(s) for each mural.
The mural with the most donations will receive an additional cash prize of $1,000.
