Mid-Plains summer class sign-up already underway

Summer classes at Mid-Plains Community College (MPCC) will be starting as early as May 13.
Registration for classes have begun this month.
According to Carla Colton, MPCC office assistant, there are no community education adult classes scheduled for the summer because of the busy season.
“If anyone has something they would like to teach this summer, contact the office and talk to Brenda Ledall, Imperial campus coordinator,” Colton said.
“Watz Up” summer youth classes (formerly Watz Up Wednesdays) will begin May 30.
Some of the youth classes and workshops being planned are: Terrariums Galore, Say and Play Speech Camp, We are Writers, Sitters Sense Babysitting Workshop, Bubbleology and Succulents Rock.
Some of the summer classes for credit on the schedule are American History I to 1877, Math for Health Occupations, Intermediate Algebra, Survey of Chemistry, Public Speaking, CNA and medication aide.
“We are working to finalize the class lists and will be posting a complete list with dates and times in the paper soon,” said Colton.
