Manor, Parkview-Heights staff celebrate nurses, CNAs

Nurses Day and CNA Week were observed nationally in May, but due to an annual survey at the time, Imperial Manor and Parkview-Heights staff moved its celebration to last week.
Margie Haider, Director of Nursing at the facilities, said delaying the festivities allowed them more time to focus on the fun and not get interrupted.
“The staff and residents had a ball and wish to do it again in the near future,” she said.
Each day last week featured a specific dress-up day, with special food and music throughout the week. Here’s the schedule they followed.
Monday—Pajama Day with coffee, donuts and cinnamon rolls served at Parkview; Word Search games played.
Tuesday—Crazy 80’s Hair Day, nacho bar at Parkview; Break-out dancing when 80’s music came over on intercom.
Wednesday—Camouflage Day, punch and trail mix at Parkview; scavenger hunt.
Thursday—Nerd Day, Nerds, Smarties, Dum Dums at Parkview; brain teaser games played.
Friday—Favorite Sports Team Day, pep rally and tail gate party.  Staff brought their favorite tailgate party food and made up a cheer, chant, song, riddle or skit to perform.
Prizes were awarded for all activities throughout the week.
