Manager updates council on Capital Mobile Home Court

The new manager at Capital Mobile Home Court in Imperial provided the city council with an update on his cleanup work at the court along East 12th Street.
Jim Tollentino said he still has several pages of tasks he wants to complete on the property, and is “doing the best I can with what I have.
“I’m doing the best I can to clean it up especially with the school next door,” he said.
Tollentino’s report came at the Dec. 9 meeting of the council, which had a full slate of business over about two and a half hours.
He said he’s in the process of removing one trailer on lot #4 that was in disrepair, and is getting ready to move out another (on lot #24).
Tenants in another trailer were given notice to leave, and he said they had until last Friday to do so.
Tenant policies have also been drawn up, he said, and submitted to the city office.
He said he’s informed tenants that any illegal activity witnessed on the property will be reported to the Imperial Police Department.
He said he’s working closely with Building Inspector/Zoning Officer Nick Schultz.
“It looks like you’ve made a lot of improvements up there, so good job,” said council member Chad Yaw.
Tollentino said he’s rented the house on the property, adding, overall, “It’s a work in progress.”
