Magician wows crowd with comedy, antics
Once again, Smokin’ on Broadway amassed an impressive collection of activities, performances and contests for the community and surrounding areas to enjoy.
One of those presentations was by magician Adam White of “Adam White Magic” in Lincoln.
He performed two shows June 22 involving a fair amount of audience participation, hilarious comedy and magical expertise both skilled and unexpected.
White’s performances were perfect for all ages, and a number of youngsters and adults had the opportunity to “assist” him in his magic.
He kept the audience laughing and mind-boggled at the same time whether performing feats of magic or sleight of hand.
One of White’s props was a puppet named Kenny the skunk.
Kenny’s “antics” brought much laughter from the audience, and kept a young assistant he pulled from the audience on his toes.
White is originally from Gothenburg but now resides in Lincoln. He has been entertaining audiences around the world since age 16 and now travels throughout Nebraska with his shows.
White is also an educational presenter and entertainer, and appears at school assemblies throughout Nebraska covering topics on bullying, reading, self-esteem, character and healthy choices.
White also teaches other entertainers how to be better performers and market themselves more effectively, he said.
He is the founder of the Magic Mysteries class, supplier of unique magical props and president of The International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring #259 for five years.
