Lutheran vicar finds Imperial community unique, refreshing

Seminary student Vicar Stanley Lacey and family are enjoying the local community while he fulfills his training obligation at Zion Lutheran Church.
He and wife, Payton, have two sons, James, age one, and Andy, age three.
Lacey will be training and serving at the church until July 2020 in a variety of positions.
Some of his duties while here are teaching on Wednesday evenings for Christ Academy, conducting a Sunday morning bible study and overseeing bible school in the late spring.
Over the last few weeks, Lacey said they have gotten to know the community a little bit.
“It feels like a unique place where everyone seems close knit, which I love,” said Lacey. “It’s refreshing to be part of a community that cares so much for its school and the well-being of the town.”
