Lavender Market, Littles set to be a 2020 Nebraska Passport stop

Each year, Nebraska’s hidden gems are sought out during the Nebraska Passport Program.
Lavender Market/Lavender Littles in Imperial was chosen as a stop for the 2020 season.
This will be the program’s 11th year. This 2020 season will run from June 1 to Sept. 30.
Passport stops are chosen each year through an application process.
There are 70 stops chosen  and are in every corner of Nebraska. The stops include museums, state parks, restaurants, retail stores, coffee shops, overnight locations and more.
“Our goal is support small businesses and grow the industry,” said Madison Schlake of Nebraska Passport.
“There are something in the range of 50,000 participants each year and it is a huge boost to the businesses and communities involved,” she added.
Some of the requirements to become a stop include unique visitor experience, excellent customer service and being open regular, reasonable and consistent hours.
This is the first year Lavender Market/Lavender Littles has been a passport program stop, owner Ronee Kruger said, but she’s been slowly pressured into applying.
“There are three sisters that come here every year and stay (at the Balcony House),” Kruger said. “They’re on the passport (committee) and they just beg me every year to be a part, so I said, ‘Why not?’”
