King, queen candidates chosen for Chase County Homecoming

Candidates for Homecoming king and queen at Chase County Schools were announced early this week, as the entire school gets involved in a weeklong celebration. Candidates for royalty, above from left, are Eli Hinojosa, Ragan Nickless, Kaley Hauxwell, Lauren Gockley, Will Kuenne and Noah Griffin. The king and queen will be crowned at halftime of Friday night’s football game with Mitchell. Students are having fun with daily character dress-up days this week which include Tacky Tourist on Monday, Hollywood Throwback Tuesday, Disney Character Day on Wednesday, Jungle Safari Day Thursday and Friday’s traditional Orange and Black Day. The semi-formal Homecoming Dance is set for Saturday night from 7:30 to 11 p.m. at the school. The public is invited to the Homecoming pep rally starting at 1:50 p.m. Friday in the Longhorn gym.
