Doolittle Construction of Grant was busy pouring the second section of the drive along Broadway at Third Street in the former Harchelroad Motors building.
Last Friday, forms were being set for the last sections.
IVFD hall taking shape
The driveways into Imperial’s new fire department site are taking shape. Last week, below,Fire Chief Doug Mitchell said all electricity is finished throughout except for the kitchen in which IVFD members are working. In the kitchen area, all of the walls have been torn out and a new header is up, Mitchell said. The city purchased the building last fall, and after remodeling, the Imperial Volunteer Fire Department hopes to be in its new location this summer.
