Imperial Theatre volunteers encouraged to give their time

The familiar saying “It takes a village” could be applied when it comes to helping the community theatre.
The Imperial Theatre is a benefit to the community by providing big screen entertainment for families and area youths.
Small towns don’t necessarily have an abundance of activities available on weekends.
The existence of a nice theatre is an affordable bonus for the people who live in the area.
The Imperial Theatre is dependent on the generosity of volunteers to run the front end on weekends.
It usually takes three or four people to take money from movie-goers, make popcorn and sell concessions.
When there are no volunteers for a movie night, the theatre cannot open.
Volunteers are vital to the showing of a movie for the community, city officials say.
