The Imperial Police Dept. will be hosting the DEA’s National Prescription Drug take back day. Free, safe and anonymous way to clear out your medicine cabinet and prevent drug misuse in our community.
The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m., at the Imperial Police Department Office, 637 Broadway Street, in Imperial Ne.
People are asked to bring expired, unused or unwanted prescription and over the counter medications. This includes pills, capsules, tablets, medication patches and liquids, (in their original sealed containers). Please remove any personal information from the labels.
Things that will not be accepted are: needles/sharps, inhalers, Epipens and loose batteries.
The majority of misused prescription drugs are sourced from home medicine cabinets. By participating you can help reduce the risk of accidental poisoning, overdose or theft, all while protecting the environment.
