Imperial hosts free COVID-19 testing by state, health district

The Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) and Governor Ricketts’ Test Nebraska combined efforts to test a segment of the Chase County population with free COVID-19 testing at the EMS building in Imperial last Thursday.
Nebraska National Guard troops were on hand to verify identification and perform the test on people who signed up online.
Nebraska state troopers assisted outside the building by making first contact with attendees and directing cars through the testing protocol.
National Guard members wore P.P.E. (Personal Protection Equipment) which included gloves, N95 masks and face shields while on site.
Residents remained in their cars and communicated through a car window as they drove through the testing area inside the EMS building.
