Imperial duo takes top prize in fair cornhole tournament

Imperial residents Aaron Troxell and Randy Roesener took first place in the Chase Count Fair’s annual cornhole tournament.
Organizer Jeff Lempke had a total of 32 teams (64 players) participated in the tournament this year.
“I shut it off at 32 (teams) but could have had a lot more,” Lempke said. “I’ll probably expand it to 40-50 next year.”
Taking second place was pair Zac Miller and Jeff Lempke, both of Imperial.
Finishing third were Imperial residents Kerry Shinn and Wade Courter, with fourth place going to Joe Quintana of Norcatur, Kansas and Kim White of Imperial.
Prizes included:
    1st—trophies, T-shirts and $280
    2nd—$140
    3rd—$80
    4th—$40
All place-winners also received gift certificates to Broken Arrow Cellars/Hanging Horseshoe Brewing Company.
