Imperial Chamber of Commerce to host ‘Kickoff to Christmas’

    The Imperial Chamber of Commerce is revamping an event of Christmases past.
    On Saturday, Dec. 15, the Chamber will be hosting “Kickoff to Christmas” with a soup, pie and cookie supper at the Imperial city gym from 6 to 8 p.m. Imperial Rotary will be helping to supply pies.
    There will be door prize drawings throughout the evening.
    Santa Claus will arrive at 6 p.m. to hear gift requests from area children and pose for Christmas photos.
    There used to be a soup and pie supper for the community for many years with Santa as the honored guest, said Clint Johnson, Chamber of Commerce president.
