Imperial celebration has full slate Saturday

It’s a community-wide celebration this Saturday being planned by the Imperial Community Foundation Fund’s advisory committee.
The celebration will include a concert by Imperial’s own Talbott Brothers (Nick and Tyler) from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Chase County Fairgrounds 4-H Building. Tickets at $25 for the evening activities will support the foundation and can be purchased at Allo Communications, the Imperial Republican or at the door.
Saturday will kick off with free coffee and rolls from 9 to 10 a.m. at 509 Broadway, with coffee being donated by 509 and rolls by the community foundation.
An 18-hole golf tournament starts at the Imperial Country Club at 11 a.m. The $200 per four-person team will benefit the community foundation. Those interested should call 308-882-4697 to sign up.
Appetizers will be provided from 3 to 5 p.m. at Broken Arrow Cellars, along with beer and wine-tasting.
Other activities at the 4-H building start at 5 p.m. with a history of Chase County presentation by Charley Colton, president of the county’s historical society. A taco/nacho bar opens at 6 p.m., followed by the concert.
The ICFF advisory committee members also plan “an exciting announcement” that evening, said treasurer Doug Gaswick.
