Hospital donors thanked at appreciation event

More than 50 people attended Saturday’s Donor Appreciation event hosted by the Chase County Hospital Foundation at St. Patrick Parish Hall. Over the past nine years, $1,629,000 has been raised by the foundation, acting hospital CEO and foundation board member Abby Cyboron noted. About 42% of that came from grants, but the rest came from private donations. The funds helped purchase a $149,999 endoscopy tower and a $43,000 hemapology analyzer the past year. Foundation board members include Ray Malleck, president; Marilee Wallin, secretary, Peggy Levy, treasurer; Sam McNair, Deb Hrcka and Cyboron.
