Historical Society’s 2019 calendars show old schools in Chase County
The Chase County Historical Society has its third annual calendar ready for sale now.
The 2019 calendars, with a focus on the school districts in Chase County, are available at $15 each at the Lied Imperial Public Library or The Imperial Republican.
Last year, the historical society calendar consisted of photos of Chase County ranches and farmsteads. All calendars that were printed were sold, said Chase County Historical Society President Charley Colton, and proceeds went back into the historical society’s general fund.
“We don’t make a lot of money with the calendars,” Colton said. “We just like getting the pictures out for people to see.”
On the inside cover of the 2019 calendar is a map of Chase County with locations of the different school districts.
