Hendricks Cattle Co. team wins Ranch Rodeo again
An early evening rain shower didn’t spoil the fun at the Chase County Fair Ranch Rodeo Aug. 13.
Fifteen teams took their best shot in the arena, but once more it was Hendricks Cattle Co. of Grant coming out on top.
Hendricks Cattle Co., Taylor Hendricks, CJ Pankonin, Darrin Sellers and Gregg Eschelman, was the only team to finish under two minutes in the evening’s first event. Imperial Auction Market Team 1 tied with K Cattle in the event.
The Ranch Rodeo’s second event was won by Barner Performance Horses out of Hershey.
Overall, Hendricks Cattle Co. finished three seconds better than Imperial Auction Market Team 1, Preston Smith, Josh Fanning, Casey Donohue and Tim Yrkowski.
Hayes Center’s Goin’ Broke, Nathan Brott, Kelly Tidyman, Buck Richards and Wacey Hamilton, placed third overall.
The Ranch Bronc riders took over the arena between events.
Wauneta’s Caid Doetker won with a score of 76, one point ahead of Colton Miller and last year’s champion, Wes Rosengreen.
