Food pantry needs generous givers year round

The holidays usually see a spike in food pantry donations since more groups have food drives around this time.
But it’s still not enough to provide food for good healthy meals, especially going into the new year and beyond.
Nancy Terryberry, president of the Chase County Food Pantry, said the pantry is in need of everything except green beans.
The purpose of the pantry is to provide much needed food items, as well as non-food items, to people who really need it, said Terryberry.
The food pantry has been providing for the needs of the community for a long time.
It takes people caring about people to support the needs of the community, said a pantry volunteer.
