Egles crowned Valentine’s Day royalty at Imperial’s Parkview Heights

Dwight and Wilma Egle, who marked their 75th wedding anniversary last year, had another event to celebrate when they were crowned Valentine’s Day Sweetheart King and Queen at Imperial’s Parkview Heights. The afternoon crowning came on Feb. 14 as about 55 residents and guests gathered. Residents voted for their selection of the Sweetheart King and Queen, who also received flowers and balloons as the day’s honored couple. Also attending the crowning were the Egles’ nieces, Dorothy Gauger and Twilla Denker, both of Wauneta, who surprised them. Earlier in the day, Parkview Heights residents enjoyed strawberry-topped Belgian waffles and were offered a chocolate fondue bar after the crowning.
