Crime commission dismisses complaints against police chief

In a short, three paragraph letter, the Nebraska Crime Commission dismissed complaints against Imperial Police Chief Ryan Wisnieski, aimed at decertifying him as a law enforcement officer.
The letter, dated Feb. 20, was received by Wisnieski four days later.
He was notified in November 2017 that the informal complaints had been filed and a review would start.
The Crime Commission investigated the complaints, one of which came from  Imperial resident Duncan Einspahr, who is a Chase County Sheriff’s Deputy.
Three other complaints to the crime commission were also made against him, Wisnieski said.
The letter from Dr. Don Arp, Jr., Crime Commission director, stated, “I have reviewed the informal complaints made against you for revocation of your law enforcement certification by multiple parties.
“I found no information that rises to the level of decertification of your Nebraska law enforcement certification.”
