Craft show to be held in Wauneta

A craft show is being planned for November in Wauneta.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Wauneta Community Center.
Organizer Elania Fanning of Enders said she currently has nine vendors confirmed, with room for more.
“We have lots of different people coming in,” Fanning said. “We have jams and jellies, baked goods, homemade items.” She plans on hosting sale of home fragrances, kitchenware, jewelry and clothing.
In addition, there will be a booth selling “photo mini-sessions” for those who want to “bring your family in, and she has a backdrop set up and she’ll take family photos.”
A food truck also will be on-site.
While there are vendor booths at some community events, like the Harvest Festival, “Wauneta hasn’t had any type of a craft fair in a while,” she said. “I think it’s important to bring home-based businesses, local crafters and vendors together so that people can have an opportunity to come one-stop shot, and they have such a nice variety of items. It’s going to be close to the holidays; it’ll be a great time to come in and grab whatever they might need.”
She said she could have space for a total of 15 to 20 vendors, depending on what size booths they want.
Anyone wishing to sell at the event still has time to be included. For more information, call Fanning at 308-883-0468 or email her at ohwhatfunholidaymarket@gmail.com.
