Course offered to prevent Senior Fraud

    The Nebraska Attorney General’s Office will present an informative presentation on Senior Fraud, Wednesday, Feb. 11 at noon. The presentation will be held at the Imperial Senior Center, 900 Wellington, Imperial Nebraska.
    Lunch will be available during the presentation. If you plan to eat, please call ahead to the Senior Center at (308)-882-5343 to reserve a meal. If you do not wish to eat, you can still come and learn from the program.
    Things that will be covered in the presentation include: Common scams targeting older adults; Warning signs and red flags; Steps to protect yourself and loved ones; How and where to report scams.
    The event is being organized by the Imperial Police Dept. Questions or more information can be directed to the Imperial Police Dept., (308)-882-4400.
    The event is open to the public. Banks, businesses, caregivers, and family members are encouraged to share this information with seniors in the community.
