Community Christmas Dinner planning underway

The annual Imperial Community Christmas Dinner is gearing up for another festive year, and everyone in the area is invited to join us for a free, traditional holiday meal on Thursday, December 25, 2025.
Whether you are alone for the holiday or simply want to enjoy delicious food and fellowship with your neighbors, you are welcome at the table.
The year’s gathering is sponsored by the Imperial Ministerial Association, with Faith United Methodist Church hosting the event.  Crossroads Wesleyan Church has graciously offered their building at 220 W. 17th Street in Imperial to ensure there is plenty of room for everyone.
A full holiday menu will be served, featuring turkey, ham, and all the traditional trimmings, free of charge.
We know not everyone can join us in person. Meals will be delivered on Christmas Day to individuals and families who are unable to attend.
This tradition—inspired by the late Jody Bopp and sustained by the Ministerial Association for many years—is truly a product of community generosity. It takes many hands to make Christmas bright, and we are looking for volunteers to help with everything from setup and serving to cleanup on Christmas Day.
