City to file liens on mobile home court

At the regular City Council meeting on Monday, the council approved to file an official assessment lien to the owner of Capital Mobile Home Court for nuisance abatement cleanup.
There were two assessments filed for the mobile home property, one being in the amount of $6,871.10 where the trailers themselves are.
The second assessment was for the property “where the house is,” City Clerk/Administrator Jo Leyland said, on lot 9 for the amount of $389.
Leyland said the owner contacted her a few weeks ago asking for the total amount owed, “but I haven’t heard from him since.”
The owner will have 60 days to pay the full amount of $7,260.10 or the city will file a foreclosure.
