Christmas events in Imperial start Friday

It will be a busy week ahead for Imperial’s early Christmas-themed activities.
This Friday, the Chamber of Commerce will start its scratch-off ticket promotion in 15 businesses. Chamber bucks and other prizes can be won.
The Christmas Festival next Thursday, Dec. 5, will include a 5:30 p.m. lighted Christmas parade and decorating of tabletops in St. Pat’s hall, which will also host a soup and pie supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be on hand Dec. 5, along with hayrack rides to see lights and a live nativity scene.
Call Sara Stretesky to register for the parade at 308-883-1505 and Diann Schilke to decorate a tabletop at St. Pat’s hall, 308-882-5700. Prizes will be awarded in both those events.
