Christmas dinner potluck looking for volunteers

This year’s Christmas Day dinner chairman is asking all past volunteers to step forward.
“This is an important event for the community,” chairman Pastor Kent Griffen said.
Griffen is the pastor at the First United Methodist Church in Imperial, and volunteered to chair the event this year.
The event is harder to accomplish each year, he added.
Griffen, along with his “sidekicks” Father Lothar Gilde and Pastor Alex Gebert, are asking past and potential volunteers to come forward.
“We need help with serving and providing food,” Griffen said.
“Even if you’re with your family on Christmas Day and you can’t actually stay and eat, please help,” he added.
After meeting this month, the ministerial committee decided to host the dinner at the St. Patrick Parish Hall at 740 Broadway.
The meal will start at 11 a.m. on Christmas Day.
To volunteer to help serve, clean up and/or bring food, contact Griffen at 308-655-0694.
