Chamber awaits 2019 fair parade entries

Categories for the Chase County Fair Parade on Saturday, Aug. 17 are Business and Professional, Organizations, Open Class, Religious and Equestrian Class, said Chris Lee, Chamber of Commerce board member.
“So far we have 15-20 floats entered in the parade,”  Lee said on Tuesday.
Float entries will be accepted up until the morning of the parade.
“If they want to be judged, they need to be in place by 9 a.m., and checked in at the table in front of the Manor,” Lee said.
    The float lineup locations are:
Open class at the corner of 7th and Grant.
Business and Professional class at the corner of 8th and Grant.
Organizations at the corner of 9th and Grant.
Religious class at the corner of 10th and Grant.
Equestrian at the corner of 11th and Grant.
“I would like to remind parents to keep an eye on their kids around the big machines while running out to grab candy,” he said. “We want them to have fun, but be safe.”
The parade will follow a “Would You Go With Me?” theme and has a 10:30 a.m. start time.
Chamber Bucks will be awarded to first and second in each division, in addition to a grand prize winner.
