CCS third graders visit state capitol for Statehood Day event

    Last Friday, 16 third grade students from Chase County Schools (CCS), along with their parents, attended the Statehood Day event in Lincoln at the state capitol.
    The students were honored for their projects chosen by NEBRASKAland Foundation during the 2018 State Fair.
    Students took part in a service project to learn about Washington, DC, famous Americans, the history of the U.S. flag and how to properly fold the flag.
    All youths involved with this project received medals and certificates.
