CCCH Chief Executive Officer receives Outstanding Rural Health Award

    Mel McNea, Chase County Community Hospital and Clinic’s interim CEO, received the Outstanding Rural Health Achievement Award from the Nebraska Rural Health Association.
    McNea stepped in as Interim CEO in August of 2025. He has made a meaningful and immediate impact on the organization and the communities that the Hospital and Clinic serve.
    McNea continually challenges the employees to raise the bar, think outside the box and push themselves, always with the goal of strengthening rural healthcare.
    Every decision Mel makes is a commitment to the patients and ensuring quality healthcare remains available close to home. Every challenge is approached with determination, creativity, and optimism, always finding a way forward and inspiring those  around him to do the same.
    The Hospital and Clinic acknowledged that these accolades are well deserved. They are grateful for his leadership, vision and dedication to rural healthcare. They are proud to celebrate his achievement and the positive impact he continues to make on the organization, their patients and the community.
