Cause still unknown for power outage in Imperial

The cause remains unknown for a power outage that Imperial residents experienced on July 11.
Around 9:50 a.m. last Thursday, the power went out in all of Imperial and remained off for approximately 30 minutes.
With clear skies, residents were wondering what had caused the outage.
“They really don’t know for sure yet what happened,” Public Works Director Pat Davison said. “I don’t have a confirmation on it or anything.”
Power returned after a half hour when the city was connected to Highline Electric Company, instead of the normal Tri-State Electric.
City power was still connected to Highline until approximately 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Davison said.
