Burglaries reported in Imperial

The Imperial Police Department (IPD) responded to a call reporting burglaries on March 17.

IPD Chief Ryan Wisnieski said 10 storage units at NorthSide Storage in Imperial were broken into, with items taken from two of them.

“I don’t know if maybe some of my officers scared them off,” Wisnieski said as to why only two had items stolen.

No one has been arrested for the thefts.

Another report was called in on Friday.

Chase County Sheriff Kevin Mueller said the call rang into the Chase County dispatch but the person reporting lived in Hitchcock County.
